Job Summary:
The City of De Pere is looking to fill a new GIS Technician position. The ideal candidate will be passionate about GIS and want to continue to learn and grow in the GIS field! The GIS Technician performs work of considerable technical difficulty. The GIS Technician will assist with the ongoing maintenance of the citywide Geographic Information System (GIS) data and utilize GIS software to develop, create, maintain, edit, update and analyze citywide GIS databases. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, in GIS, Geography or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of one year experience in GIS performing similar duties.
- Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS software suite.
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and good driving record.
A combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Typical Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The summer schedule (Memorial Day – Labor Day) for this position is:
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
