Job Summary & Duties:
Under the direction of the GIS Coordinator, the GIS Intern is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of the County’s integrated geographic information system. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Creation and maintenance of NG911 data
- Creation and maintenance of web based mapping application
- Production of maps and data
- GIS training/support to county departments, governmental agencies, private entities and the general public
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have:
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a program of geography, GIS or closely related field
- Experience not required but preferred
- Valid driver’s license
*This position will begin around mid-May and end around mid-August and will be 40 hrs/wk*
