Job Summary & Duties:
Washburn County, located in beautiful northwestern Wisconsin, is accepting applications for the position of County Surveyor. This position is responsible for the maintenance and preservation of all Public Land Survey System corners including the modernization of all records associated with said P.L.S.S. corners. This position is also responsible for indexing, filing, and maintaining survey records, assisting the public in search of boundary information, review Certified Surveys and Subdivision Plats for compliance with State Statutes and County Ordinances, and prepare any surveys or reports as directed by county officials.
Qualifications:
Qualifications include a two year degree in Surveying, Engineering, G.I.S., or related field; followed by six or more years of surveying experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. The candidate must also be licensed as a Wisconsin Professional Surveyor.
