Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a full-time Geodatabase Technician to join our team in our Duluth or Bloomington, MN office. Please note that our Bloomington office will be moving to Roseville during the start of Summer 2018.

This position is a data processing role within the GIS team. The candidate will work hand in hand with the GIS analysts and developers to help populate, manage, and automate workflows between data and geospatial databases.

The candidate will populate enterprise databases, create and update project REST services, and integrate quality control methods for LSC client data. Work with development team, field technicians, IT, and other company groups to manage incoming data. This position requires a high working knowledge of ArcGIS server and ArcGIS Desktop.

Duties:

  • Work with GIS developers to run scripts to load data into ArcSDE databases
  • Perform quality check procedures for positional and attribute data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Data prep and Data processing
  • Coordinates the exchange of GIS data or related information between our organizations and others.
  • Help manage multiple GIS libraries of data, documentation, tools and products within the framework of a centralized network environment and standardized data structures
  • Follow and understand data standards, help implement standard work flows
  • Publish and provide updates to REST services
  • Work with tools to automate database updates, staging and production management

Qualifications:

  • Experience with managing data in ArcSDE within a standardized structure
  • Bachelors degree or certificate preferred in GIS or relevant feild
  • Knowledge of versioning and archiving workflows within SDE
  • Knowledge of Python a plus
  • Working knowledge of source control
  • Industry experience necessary
  • Must be punctual, flexible, very organized, and detail orientated
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a team-player with a customer-centric attitude
  • Must be self-motivated and have strong analytical abilities
