Job Summary:
Join the H-D CIA (Consumer Insights & Analytics) as a Lead focused on deriving insights through the application of Geographical Information System (GIS) technology. We need someone to design and implement data gathering techniques relative to global consumers and markets of Harley-Davidson products, services, and experiences.
Acting as the CIA team subject matter expert on GIS, you will lead the development of consumer insights through research for business partners which will play a role in helping implement said insights into business strategy. You will be responsible for maintaining the functionality of the team’s spatial analytical tool set and serve as the point of contact with internal and external stakeholders. A few other areas of focus include training and maintaining the US Territory Management System and the integrity of our spatial data.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of GIS for analysis and reporting
- Business analysis experience with specific emphasis on business/marketing research and consumer, retail and market insights – preferably with consumer brands
- Business acumen and demonstrated ability to conduct, manage and synthesize consumer, retail, market, and product data and deliver strategic insights supporting overarching corporate strategies
- Demonstrated experience in integrating disparate sources of information into a coherent “story” that answers specific business hypotheses.
- Ability to influence across the organization at multiple levels and build collaborative, productive relationships with internal business partners and external vendors.
- Knowledge of spatial statistics
- Strong cartographic skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with the H-D brand, motorcycle product, markets, and consumers is also highly preferred.
