Job Summary:

The primary focus of this role is to ensure that Process Safety Information (PSI) – Drawings, Records and GIS Data that describe Pipeline Assets in North America satisfy applicable codes and standards, are current, trustworthy, and easily accessible to the satisfaction of internal stakeholders.

The position is responsible for leading a geographically diverse team of Canadian and US employees, as well as provisioned and non-provisioned contractors focused on ensuring that information about Enbridge Pipelines are as reliable as the assets themselves.

Duties:

  • Lead, coach, and foster a high performing team of employees, contractors, and external service providers while ensuring they are equipped with the appropriate competencies to create up to date and trustworthy Pipeline Information.
  • Ensure PSI is correct at the source of creation by establishing and communicating clear business expectations and processes for those that edit or create Pipeline Information during construction and modification of Enbridge assets.
  • Continuously maintain and improve relevant Enbridge standards.
  • Educate stakeholders on any updates or changes to the Pipeline Information Process.
  • Support LP Engineering and Projects, Major Projects, and Operations pipeline information related needs by providing direction and subject matter expertise as it pertains to Enbridge standards and specifications.
  • Ensure effective control of pipeline information by establishing, communicating, and supporting the use of robust processes.
  • Accountable for the successful selection and implementation GIS; which will be a multi-year program that includes system configuration, data mitigation, and a variety of change management activities.
  • Transition the department’s structure by harmonizing Canadian and US functions and business processes that pertain to Pipeline asset information.
  • Create and manage operational and capital budgets.
  • Establish annual improvement objectives that align with department objectives and organizational strategy.
  • Create and continually improve performance metrics and reporting.
  • Develop and grow a diverse team of Pipeline Information, Information Technology, and Operational representatives as well as external service providers to operationalize the new GIS.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Completion of a post-secondary undergraduate degree or technical diploma in engineering technology.
  • A minimum 10 years of progressive, complex, and diverse technical and managerial experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Pipeline Information lifecycle and GIS in an owner-operator business environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors, as per Company Mid-Level Leader Competency model.
  • Ability to understand broad corporate ideologies, direction, and goals in order to integrate business solutions effectively.
  • Requires ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing, such that organizational objectives are translated and integrated with work of other stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to initiate and manage change, be innovative, think strategically, and work collaboratively with multiple technical disciplines.
  • Exceptional stakeholder relations skills needed to manage and inspire a diverse group of internal and external team members located across North America.
  • Requires strong customer service focus and ability to foster effective working relationships.
  • Requires ability to influence using logic and negotiation skills, and to prioritize and meet commitments.
  • Legally able to both work and travel across North America

Preferred

  • Completion of a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
