Job Summary:
US Internet is looking for a Global Positioning Systems (GPS)/Geographic InformationSystems (GIS) Intern to assist in collecting asset locations using GPS and entering and maintaining data in our geospatial database.
Duties:
- Using GPS equipment and mobile application, collect asset locations of US Internet’s
Fiber and Wi-Fi networks in the Twin Cities metro area. - Geodatabase editing and maintenance using data collected in the field.
- Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Required
- Relevant education/experience in GPS and GIS.
- ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and Esri’s Collector experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Good communication skills, ability to concisely describe asset location.
Preferred
- Experience converting data from various formats and spatial reference systems.
- Geodatabase maintenance experience.
