Pro-West & Associates, Inc. is looking for a GIS Data Technician who will serve as an integral member of our data development team, providing entry level GIS data development and maintenance skills. The GIS Technician position requires skills in the use of Esri software, ability to work within our fast-paced, technological environment with a diverse team, and enthusiasm for helping our clients make a difference in the area of GIS.
This is a full-time position (40 hours a week), with vacation, personal days, holidays, IRA, health insurance and HSA benefits.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field, AA degree with GIS emphasis, 1 year GIS technical experience
Experience Requirements:
• Technical experience with ArcGIS
• Experience editing geodatabase features and attributes
• Experience with data development technologies and processes
Responsibilities:
• Follow project standards to accurately develop and attribute geospatial data
• Communicate possible project efficiency improvements to senior technician\manager
• Assist in quality control processes to assure data quality and integrity
• Clearly document project discrepancies to communicate possible errors in data developed
• Attend in house project meetings, specific to assigned development project
• Maintain and develop ArcGIS desktop skills through relevant and approved trainings
Optional Desired Skills:
• Experience with land records and parcel data a plus
