Job Summary:
The Geospatial Division of Ayres Associates is seeking candidates for a Survey Technician position. The successful candidate will have an active role in performing diverse geospatial services within the Land Survey Group at Ayres.
Duties:
The successful candidate will perform a variety of field survey and mapping tasks utilizing GPS, robotic total stations and MicroStation/Civil 3D CADD platforms. Candidate may assist a Professional Land Surveyor in preparation of land survey documents. Is responsible for adhering to OSHA and required safety practices. Physical requirements include walking over uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs. Position may require overtime and occasional out-of-town travel.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 0 to 5 years of experience and a two–year associate degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology or a four-year degree in Land Surveying. Proficiency operating Trimble equipment and software is preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
