Job Summary & Duties:
Alliant Engineering, Inc., has an exceptional opportunity available for a Survey CAD Technician to work in our Minneapolis office and be an integral part on our Survey and Civil team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an industry leader!!
Utilizing CAD with Civil/Survey skills and knowledge to prepare all kinds of Survey documents and drawings. Including Design Location or Existing Conditions Surveys, Subdivision plats, Registered Land Surveys, CIC plats, Certificate of Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys. Work will include down loading and up loading points for drawings and or Construction Surveying services. Depending on the successful applicants skills and survey knowledge they may also work on survey boundaries and preparing legal descriptions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years’ experience working as a Survey Cad Technician for a Surveying or Civil Engineering Firm
- Associate degree in Land Surveying from an accredited college or university; or Land Surveyor In Training (L.S.I.T.) or equal experience
- Strong Experience with AutoCad and Civil 3D.
Qualifications:
- Experience relating to land development and roadway design projects including the preparation of construction drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
