Job Summary:

Continental Mapping Consultants in Sun Prairie WI, a leading provider of high quality, innovative and comprehensive photogrammetric mapping, land survey, and geospatial data solutions has an immediate opening for a QA/QC Manager.

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the quality management system (QMS) according to ISO 9001 standards and any other relevant regulations, codes, standards, respective laws and state-of-the-art technology with a strong focus on efficiency in a technology focused environment. The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for leading all ISO certification activities up to and including ongoing certification. They will foster a quality culture and awareness and oversee competency and compliance within the organization driving continuous improvement processes and efficiencies.

Duties:

  • Responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS) according to ISO 9001 that ensures how the activities of the Company comply with quality, regulations and other applicable standards.
    • Acts as gatekeeper for Company quality and regulatory compliance.
    • Draft quality assurance forms, policies and procedures.
    • Guide staff through the process of developing/implementing/improving quality assurance forms, policies and procedures.
    • Prepare reports and analysis to personnel as needed.
  • Develop, implement and maintain quality metrics throughout the organization.
  • Participate directly and coordinate with other functions in the development, submission, maintenance, review and archiving of controlled documents related to process specification and qualify of finished product.
    • Update the Quality Control Manual annually for controlled revisions
  • Lead/conduct/participate in internal audits of quality system and procedures to ensure their compliance and performance including the audits of departments and records.
  • Create and conduct training of personnel to ensure the compliance of established processes and procedures are in line with QMS, regulatory and quality standards.
  • Work with various sectors to resolve client complaint related issues.
  • Provide customer support as needed by providing reports, documents and explanations of QMS.
  • Effectively manager QMS, procedures and documents for all processes to improve the operational results by way of significant reduction of poor quality products being sent to client.
  • Manage, assess and train personnel on QMS.
  • Stay abreast of latest advances in development, process quality improvements and regulatory changes in applicable legislation.
  • Present quality reports and results to executive team

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate degree from a two-year college or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years QMS implementation and ongoing management experience in a high-tech/software company.
  • Five years’ experience managing staff.
  • Efficient in ISO 9001 standards and processes
  • Appropriate ISO training/auditing certification.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity/direct experience with Agile software development methodology
  • Familiarity/direct experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean
