Job Summary:
The Instrument Operator will be involved in all field phases of a typical survey project. The individual will be trained in the operation of the various surveying equipment used on the projects the company is involved with.
Duties:
- Operation and maintenance issues related to GPS equipment
- Operations and maintenance issues related to robotic total station with data collection equipment
- Operation and maintenance issues related to optical and digital levels (often related to laser scanning equipment)
- Assist with field notes, sketches, and field calculations
- Assist the Survey Crew Chief as necessary
- Other responsibilities as assigned
