Survey Crew Chief

Job Summary:

Sambatek is currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief to work with a team to execute surveying projects. This individual is responsible for coordinating the activities of a survey crew, as well as gathering the required field survey data for use in survey projects and design surveys in conjunction with engineering projects. This is a high production oriented position.

Duties:

• Provide technical expertise to internal and external clients
• Perform field work for land surveying scopes of work including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA and topography for various project types
• Organize field staking materials as necessary
• Operate GPS, total stations and data collectors
• Transfer files between data collectors and internal company project folders
• Maintain productive working relationships with all clients and coworkers
• Adere to the company’s Safety, Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience working as a Crew Chief or 1 year as a Crew Chief + an AAS degree
• Ability to meet deadlines and stay within designated project budgets
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history
• Basic “office suite” computer skills

Physical Requirements

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
• Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural or urban surroundings
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk long distances
