Job Summary:
As a Survey Crew Chief for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC), you will lead a survey field crew performing work on topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction layout. You will perform land survey work per the current Illinois Standards minimum standards of practice. You will be responsible for providing accurate work on all land survey projects, operation of Trimble RTK and robotic equipment, taking accurate survey notes and directing and mentoring instrument personnel. You will also be responsible for utilizing various surveying programs to gather, retrieve and interpret important data, and performing minor computations as required.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience; minimum 5 years of related survey experience required
- Familiarity with Trimble survey equipment and data collectors preferred
- Ability to perform as a professional and communicate with clients and contractors
- Ability to operate motorized equipment and possession of sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions including exposure to traffic, extreme heat and cold weather
- Valid Driver’s License
