Job Summary:
The City of Bloomington’s Public Works Department is seeking an individual to work during the 2019 summer as an Engineering Intern working with Geographic Information System (ESRI). This position will be split between the Engineering Division and Public Works Administration.
Schedules will vary. Individual will work either 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the possibility of overtime.
Duties:
- Creating, editing and maintaining the Engineering Division’s infrastructure and other data in GIS (ESRI).
- Creating comprehensive static maps and interactive webmaps utilizing ESRI GIS software.
- Compiling, converting, and exporting requested GIS data.
Qualifications:
- Completion of one academic year of a four-year Geographic Information Systems, or related, degree program or completion of one academic year of a two-year Geographic Information Systems, or related, technical school certificate program.
- Valid driver’s license.
- ESRI experience or training.
