Job Summary:
The Geospatial Division of Ayres Associates is seeking candidates for Survey CADD Technician positions. The successful candidates will have an active role in performing diverse geospatial mapping services within the Land Survey Group at Ayres.
Duties:
Works under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor in the preparation of a variety of land surveying documents and occasional field work/record research. Tasks include research, plat and map preparation, computing of boundaries and preparing legal descriptions. Is responsible for adhering to OSHA and required safety practices. Position may require overtime and occasional out-of-town travel. Physical requirements, if performing field work, include walking over uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a two-year degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology or a four-year degree in Land Surveying. At least two years of CADD drafting experience required. Proficiency in Civil 3D preferred with a background in the preparation of survey maps/documents, legal descriptions, and easement exhibits. Experience in Transportation Project Plats and title report review is a plus. Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required as occasional field work or record research may be necessary. Prior project team oversight/supervision a plus.
