Job Summary:
This Student Hourly or Limited Term Employee (LTE) position will involve analyzing,
documenting, and migrating 55 countywide feature classes into one statewide feature class. Primary
responsibilities will include comparing schemas of all existing data, data migration tracking, creation of
metadata, and QA/QC of existing data.
Qualifications:
The prospective candidate will be detail-oriented, have familiarity with file geodatabase design and creation in the ArcGIS 10.x environment, a familiarity with Python scripting specific to geospatial data, an interest in
geology, geography, or natural resources, and possess minimum of two years undergraduate education in
geography, GIS, or computer science.
Additional Information:
Work will take place at the WGNHS office at 3817 Mineral Point Road, Madison, Wisconsin. Rate of pay for
this position is $15 per hour, and the schedule is very flexible to accommodate the employee’s availability.
Duration: June 3rd, 2019 to August 30th, 2019
