Job Summary:

Antea USA, Inc. (Antea Group) is seeking to fill a GIS Analyst role in our Shoreview, MN office location.

Qualified individuals must have strong management, organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written), and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong technical support team. This safety-sensitive position reports to a project manager and will support Local, Regional, National and Global project teams on a variety of project assignments including: GIS and 3-D Modeling, Mobile GIS and Electronic Field Data Collection and Web Mapping. Tasks will include project coordination; designing, developing, testing, documenting, and certifying applications, programs and systems functionality; developing, performing and applying spatial analyses to create information products from the GIS and related software and subsystems. This position will also be responsible for managing and maintaining GPS equipment, managing scope, schedule, and budget of phases of projects, and interacting with project stakeholders.

Duties:

  • Develop and apply GIS analysis solutions to meet client specific needs.
  • Coordinate GIS activities with project teams and technicians.
  • Perform spatial analyses and create information products from the GIS and related software and subsystems.
  • Provide support for GIS data conversion, systems integration and system and application development and implementation.
  • Provide support for efficient map design and high-quality map production.
  • Coordinate the acquisition of new spatial data and supervise the integration of these data into the organization’s GIS and data management structure.
  • Design, develop, test, document, and certify applications, programs and systems functionality.
  • Manage project data and development projects.
  • Assist in training in various aspects of the GIS software and database creation and use.
  • Manage quality control procedures.
  • Diagnose and “troubleshoot” problems with the use of GIS and related software.
  • Assist project teams with GIS and 3D-modeling services utilizing Earth Volumetric Studio software
  • Provide 3D dynamic output for project/client presentation
  • Test GPS/electronic field data collection units
  • Provide technical guidance on GPS and electronic field data collection equipment
  • Develop template geodatabase and mobile GIS projects for hub teams
  • Provide project data via ArcGIS Online enterprise to project teams and clients
  • Develop custom apps with enterprise web mapping tools

Qualifications:

  • B. A, B.S., M.S. Degree or certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), with B.S. degree in Geology, Geography, Environmental Engineering, or Earth Science, preferred
  • Minimum of 1-7 years of applicable experience
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously as well as in a team setting
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong data collection, evaluation, and technical writing skills
  • Experience in environmental GIS and 3D Mapping
  • Experience managing project activity at a task, phase, or project level
  • Experience working in environmental and/or health & safety consulting
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record;
  • Ability to successfully pass a company-paid physical examination and drug screen
