Job Summary:
As a Geographer/Cartographer/Computer Scientist within the Upper Midwest Environmental Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:
- Performing geographic workflows; processes remotely sensed imagery; develops geospatial datasets, databases, and metadata.
- Collecting, compiling, and analyzing diverse data sets, including remotely sensed data, relating to complex physical and geographic phenomena for extensive areas.
- Assisting in the design, development, testing, validation, and application of machine-learning methods and algorithms for remote sensing imagery classification and survey applications.
- Contributing to the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods for geospatial and remote sensing applications.
- Operates a government vehicle as an incidental driver.
