Job Summary:
At TDS, our interns are our future. We are seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about problem solving and delivering technology solutions to move our business forward. As an intern with us, you will build a solid foundation for you career by gaining hands-on experience from working on multiple projects with a wide variety of software and hardware programs.
This is a year round internship and we require at least 15 hours per week during core business hours (Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm).
Duties:
In this position you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, cohesive, and collaborative environment to design fiber optic networks, develop and implement automation tools, and use data analytics to help meet our growing demands to build fiber optic networks across America. Your existing problem solving, communication, and organizational skills will be leveraged and grown by learning a broad spectrum of technologies and languages that will build a solid foundation for your career. These include but are not limited to:
- ArcGIS
- ArcMap
- ArcPro
- Python
- SQL and NoSQL databases
In addition to improving your technical development skillset you will utilize various software programs and design methodologies, acquire fiber optic engineering and construction best practices, and contribute your ideas to a collaborative team of existing GIS Engineers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Must be able to complete working hours between M-F 8-5pm
- All working hours must be completed onsite in a TDS office location
