Survey Crew Technician

Position Description:

Continental Mapping is looking for Survey Crew Technicians to join our team! If you enjoy working in a team setting and being outdoors versus behind a desk, this position may be for you! As a Survey Crew Technician, you will travel throughout the U.S. as part of a team while learning and working with state-of-the-art equipment.

As a Survey Crew Technician, you will assist a more experienced technician in performing all survey related activities. You will learn to operate all equipment including a mobile Lidar unit and be responsible for the care and daily maintenance of survey vehicles and equipment.

This position deployments of three or more weeks.

Requirements:

• Ability to be on deployment for three or more weeks at a time
• Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical principles
• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer skills in: MS Word, MS Excel and Web browser

Experience and Education:

• 0-2 years field experience
• Associate degree in Geography, Survey/Mapping or related Geomatics Science required
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Survey/Mapping or related Geomatics Science preferred
• Equivalent training, education and/or experience may substitute for academic credentials
• Basic understanding of survey terminology, methodologies, equipment and operation preferred
