The selected candidate will assist in providing survey services for the District on capital and operations & maintenance (O&M) projects in the planning, design, and construction phases. The intern will achieve a proficiency in construction survey techniques in the field. This understanding will coincide with its requisite operational aptitude of current survey technology. Furthermore, the intern will gain an appreciation for the means and methods in which engineering design and construction data are acquired, as well as the concomitant limitations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will work with the survey crews on a variety of projects. The intern will utilize geodetic and cadastral methods to provide/collect data to/from project stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or land surveying, or an associate degree in civil engineering technology. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 lbs. Valid driver’s license required.
