Project Surveyor

A growing company is looking for a full-time, highly motivated, qualified, civil engineering technician/surveyor to work in our transportation department.

Description:

• Topographic survey
• Construction staking
• Lidar Scanning
• Geodetic survey
• Research of control and boundary monuments necessary to complete survey work
• Surveying and records search for right-of-way plats, Certified Survey Maps (CSMs) and other surveys.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel, including overnight, if needed
• Experience working with robotic and GPS field survey equipment
• Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills a must
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team

Other Qualifications

The following qualifications are not required but would be considered an added benefit:

• Professional Land Surveying License or ability to obtain in the future
• Knowledge and expertise with various software packages including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, In-Roads and Trimble Business Center
• Understanding of the WisDOT transportation design process
• Experience with WisDOT construction inspection
