Senior GIS Analyst

Description: JLL Research is looking for a Senior Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to drive the continued growth, evolution and adoption of our GIS strategy and platform in the Americas Research group. We seek a leader with a passion and track record for building strong motivated teams, innovative and creative out of the box thinking, with exceptional collaborative skills to lead initiatives that cross over many groups.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties: The Senior GIS Analyst will have primary responsibility of analyzing all aspects of the Chicago commercial real estate market and leveraging that knowledge and expertise proactively for research products, client projects, and business development efforts. This position will specialize in interpreting data and information and creating innovative ways to present and visualize data.

• Deliver mapping solutions by defining the user requirements, overseeing the workflow and collaborating with various business and project teams

• High-level analytical and problem-solving skills and strategic-thinking capacity.

• Ability to understand data and the other underlying trends and use that information to help craft narratives about the market.

• Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients and facilitate the use of research and GIS as a differentiator including being personally client facing and externally focused on new business efforts

• Expand the overall research/GIS platform including processes, products, and ability to positively impact the business.

• Contribute to Americas Research goals that aligns with the local market’s business objectives.

• Work closely with the National GIS geospatial team and the Americas Research Group to implement new solutions, technology platforms and best practices.

• 3+ years of GIS experience

• Real Estate experience preferred

• BS/BA in geography, GIS, urban planning, economics, or relevant experience

• Expertise with GIS, data analytics tools, and data visualization applications such as Tableau, Alteryx, ArcGIS, and a programming language.

• Demonstrated success leading project delivery for large, cross functional programs

• Verbal and written communication skills are critical. Must be able to organize and present thoughts clearly and concisely
