We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic GIS Analyst for a full-time position at our Milwaukee office. This position will primarily be responsible for utilizing their expertise to identify and build GIS solutions for local government. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating directly with clients and team members, has demonstrated their technical expertise to the GIS community, and has the ability to provide impactful leadership. This position reports to our Director of Business Development but will support and collaborate with engineers, project managers and other technical staff, and external customers and teams.

Essential Duties:

  • Conducting use-case analysis of local government functions to establish GIS application requirements and geospatial data model requirements.
  • Identifying and defining appropriate client application needs and associated GIS products.
  • Planning and designing the analytic procedures and methodologies for implementing solutions.
  • Preparing initial work and cost estimates for GIS development activities.
  • Working with the GIS lead to develop new technology services.
  • Promoting GIS solutions via webinars and technical presentations.
  • Conducting client training and tracking progress on system implementation and application projects.
  • Planning and communicating specific work tasks for database creation and management, application development, and ongoing maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geoscience, Environmental studies, or similar field.
  • At least 6 to 8 years of experience in GIS
  • Must have extensive knowledge of GIS principles and practices, software, and cartography.
  • Extremely organized and highly detail-oriented with thorough verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize work tasks to manage multiple project assignments.
  • Must be proficient in ESRI software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online including tools such as Collector, Dashboards, Survey123, and Story Maps).
  • Experienced in ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Experience in Programming, Scripting, Python, and Arcade.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geoscience, Environmental studies, or similar field.
  • GIS Certification
  • Working experience in the consulting industry.
