Description:

This opportunity is for a flexible and self-motivated individual. You will be responsible for providing technical support to projects across multiple service lines including Remediation, Sediment, Potentially Responsible Parties (PRP), and Mergers & Acquisitions. Primary responsibilities will center on data visualization, analyzing environmental data, report writing, and other technical support as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Visualization – Able to design custom applications (dashboards) leveraging large environmental data sets to visualize and interrogate data.
  • Analyzing environmental data in support of investigation objectives using Microsoft Excel, geographic information systems (GIS), and/or other programmatic software (R or Python).
  • Enhance the technical capabilities of the team by expanding the knowledge base, improving internal processes, and developing innovative technical approaches.

Client Support:

  • Client interaction
  • Assist as needed to market existing and new clients including proposal preparation and general business development support as it relates to any of the above-mentioned activities
  • Project Management – Assist with control of scope, schedule and budgets

Skills required for success in this role include:

  • B.S. in technical related degree
  • 3+ years of research and experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of R scripting and R Shiny application development and supporting programming and development skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ArcGIS Online or other dashboard development tools using environmental and/or spatial data.
  • Python, SQL, VBA, and/or JavaScript experience.
  • Effective technical writing skills, and knowledge/use of Microsoft 365 software.

Additional desired skills in this role include:

Knowledge of relational database administration, data loading, report generation, ad hoc SQL query and script development, and experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or EQuIS. · Experience with environmental chemistry and environmental consulting· Ability to design custom applications with GIS data. · Experience in Esri ArcGIS software suite, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcPro, ArcPy, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst, ·Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) ·Feature Manipulation Engine (FME)
