Payrate: $13/hour
UW-Milwaukee School of Freshwater Science in search of Winterim GIS Work. Graduate student strongly preferred, but upper level undergraduate with experience and strong references considered.
 
Must be on less than 50% appointment and currently on payroll.
Duties include:
  • Identifying and downloading Natural Resources Layers such as Waterbody contours, DEMs, Landcover, Beach and State Park access, Census tracks with demographic info , County Maps, Zip Code.
  • Documentation of metadata for files used, and Aggregation and creation of a shoreline (8 great Lakes) county layer with data by county from sources above.
  • Must have attention to detail, 2 references, and availability from Fall semester end to Semester beginning spring to complete work.
  • Work can be remote, but at least 2 meetings should be in person at the School of Freshwater Sciences.
Hourly pay $13/hour. Work is expected to be 20-30 hours total for skilled GIS user.
