Position Summary
This position will exercise a large amount of independent action under the general supervision of the Photogrammetry Unit Supervisor, with work being reviewed after decisions have been made.
The work at this level requires a large degree of photogrammetry evaluation and judgment. This position also works closely with the Regional Survey Coordinators and the Geodetic Surveys Unit. This position coordinates the statewide Photogrammetry and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) projects and is responsible for the Photogrammetry and LiDAR Master Contracts, for developing and implementing a quality control and assurance program, for researching new technologies and methods, for providing technical expertise and training, and for a variety of additional tasks in support of the Department’s Photogrammetric processes with support from the Photogrammetry Unit staff.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have experience with all the following:
Demonstrated experience in the application of Photogrammetric principles, methods, standards, instrumentation, and techniques.
Demonstrated experience in Photogrammetric Analytical Triangulation or Softcopy Compilation methods.
Proficient producing and editing mapping and digital terrain model products in MicroStation (preferred) or AutoCAD 2020.
