Role:  Photogrammetrist

Role Summary:  As a Photogrammetrist you will use your comprehensive experience to produce geospatial products for a variety of different clients utilizing primarily aerial triangulation, imagery, stereo compilation, and remote sensing. 

Work Environment:

  • Location is flexible: Axim Geospatial Headquarters, Regional offices, or work from home considered
  • Travel:  < 10% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Digital Terrain and feature collection using softcopy and analytical photogrammetric techniques
  • Product editing
  • Development of final deliverables
  • Daily communication and status updates
  • Digital orthophotography production
  • Complete production tasks and target goals assigned by the Project Lead or Project Manager
  • Effectively identify and communicate work status to the Project Manager
  • May oversee and lead a production project
    • Executes projects on schedule, within organizational financial goals and to internal and customer quality standards
    • Responsible for the day-to-day health and activities of the assigned project and team members through effective communication and collaboration while managing the team’s technical execution
    • Create project reports, including estimated total hours for the ETC reports
    • May assist in final data preparation/delivery to the client
  • May participate in training of co-workers
  • May conduct quality control reviews of data and provide feedback
  • May assist in work procedures/checklist updates and/or creation

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Geography, GIS, Surveying, Computer Science or related discipline or high school diploma or equivalent with applicable experience in stereo map production
  • 2+ years’ experience required
  • Experienced in Microstation V8 or Microstation Connect
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Ideal (in addition to required experience):

  • ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist
  • Aerial Triangulation experience
  • Experienced in ESRI, Intergraph Suite, Global Mapper, and/or AutoCAD
  • Experience with LiDAR software (GeoCue, Terra, TopoDOT, etc.)
  • Experience with State and Federal specifications

 Competencies: 

  • Able to accurately see and distinguish relative elevations of features in stereoscopic (3D) images on a specially equipped monitor
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively with a wide range of people
  • Exceptional customer service orientation for high paced clients
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to implement GIS technologies, specifically Esri, in an enterprise environment
  • Able to coordinate with program stakeholders
  • A passion for working with teammates and customers to solve problems
