Limited-term approximate 600 hour summer intern opportunity. This position will be under the Land & Water Conservation Division within the Land Conservation and Development Department. This position will primarily be involved with mapping, analysis, and data collection related to the counties non-metallic mine permitting program. Position will require use of GPS unit, unmanned aerial vehicle, and computer software including ArcGIS and AutoCAD Employee may also assist other divisions with project specifc research and implementation.

Educational Requirements: This position desires 1 or more years of college coursework related to surveying, GIS, or natural resource management. A recent or current High School student will be considered with strong interest and advanced skills in relevant areas.

Experience: No prior experience is required, but prior work in surveying, GIS, remote sensing, or conservation is bene?cial. Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License. Experience with drone operation and maintenance is a plus.
