We are seeking a highly motivated GIS Analyst position in our GIS + Software Service Group. Under the supervision of our GIS Service Group Leader, and in cooperation with other team members, this role will provide expertise in geospatial software and data management for Ramaker GIS projects. This position will work independently and with other team members implementing GIS based software solutions. This role will be balanced with some field data collection, technology support, data development, and data conversion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain geospatial data for Ramaker GIS applications. Ensure this data meets appropriate data accuracy and content standards for quality assurance and quality control
  • Travel to project sites for data capture using drones and 360 cameras.
  • Support clients that use Ramaker’s GIS Software

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must be pursuing or have a degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field with demonstrated capabilities in GIS
  • Hands-on experience with ESRI GIS Technology including ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience with other GIS Software such as QGIS, PostGIS and FME
  • Experience working with different coordinate systems, map projections, and datums.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple assignments, determine and set job task priorities and work with limited direct supervision
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including MS-Teams

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Software Development/Programming (Python preferred, but not required)
  • Experience with Autodesk products like AutoCAD or Civil 3D
  • Working with and supporting technology
  • Experience working with drones and processing drone imagery
  • Ability to explain technical GIS items to non-technical users.
  • Experience using Google Earth and KMZ files
