Highway GIS Summer Intern

Oneida County is accepting applications to fill a Highway GIS Summer Intern position for the Highway and Land Information Departments. This position will provide project support and complete tasks involving GIS data conversion and creation, field data collection and map and application creation using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. This position will work from mid-May to August, with starting and ending dates being flexible. Position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with some schedule flexibility.

Qualified individuals should either be enrolled as an undergraduate college student or recent college graduate in GIS or related field OR have knowledge and/or work experience in GIS; must have a valid Driver License, good driving record, have knowledge and/or experience in GIS along with the ability to follow safety rules and be able to prepare and maintain accurate records and reports. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
