Pro-West & Associates, Inc. is seeking to fill a new position of a Geospatial Project Manager who can work independently and as an integral member of the Pro-West team providing project leadership, communicating with project teams, and providing expert leadership to the client. We are a growing company in need of team members who want to work with processes and tools at the forefront of the geospatial technology industry.  

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering, IT or related field, or equivalent work experience. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 3+ years’ technical experience with Esri desktop, web or mobile software, specifically ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and/or Enterprise  
  • Experience working for or with local government and/or public utility agencies 
  • 2+ years’ experience managing and/or leading projects that involve GIS system architecture design, solutions, data development/conversion, scripting/programming, training and/or support  
  • 2+ years’ experience with providing direct customer support (technical or non-technical) 
  • 1+ years presenting to large or small audiences on technical or non-technical topics 
  • Demonstrated experience managing contracts with outside vendors and/or other departments 
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering to develop project scopes and define objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capability to assess business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements 
  • Ability to facilitate complex conversations and gain consensus with large, diverse groups 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills  
  • Ability to adapt to quickly changing organizational and project needs

  • Ability to run and coordinate multiple projects at varying stages with different team members (up to 20 projects at once) 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships  
  • Clearly communicate project goals, timelines and expectations to internal teams and customers  
  • Keep client stakeholders, team members and/or third-party vendors informed on project progress, risks, and challenges on a weekly basis  
  • Communicate weekly with team members to ensure they have the resources needed to complete project deliverables, while fostering a collaborative environment. 
  • Identify customer needs and provide consistent, transparent communication to foster an exceptional customer experience 
  • Create and maintain project documentation using project management systems, SharePoint, Teams or other tools 
  • Track project timelines, staff timesheets and project budgets on a daily basis 
  • Work collaboratively with other Pro-West Project Managers to schedule work with technical teams 
  • Lead requirements gathering and project discussions with stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, incorporating timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies 
  • Manage multiple, highly complex projects at various stages of development, simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment 
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams on inside sales opportunities and proposals, and participate in client interviews and demonstrations 
  • Conduct project evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and share process enhancement recommendations with leadership 
  • Participate in conferences, workshops and other public events to promote Pro-West services and client case studies  
  • Be available to travel domestically and/or periodically adjust work hours to accommodate various U.S. time zones
