Associate Planner

ARDC, a large planning organization located in Duluth, MN, has an opening for an entry-level planner in its Regional Planning Division. The position will assist in the development and coordination or community plans and zoning ordinances, land use studies, and natural resource and transportation planning processes. Duties will involve providing technical assistance to local governments, including grant writing, ordinance development, meeting facilitation, and recommendation development for providing effective solutions to community planning and zoning issues as well as providing staff support to intergovernmental committees. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in planning-related field. Must have solid public presentation and communication skills, proficient personal computer skills (including knowledge of GIS), and be flexible and detail oriented with an ability to handle multiple tasks and projects. Valid driver’s license required.
