Job Details:
The candidate is expected to initially work as an assistant on multiple database projects under multiple project managers. Project customers include the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, The U.S. Geological Survey National Water Quality Assessment program, and the U.S. Geological Survey Publications group, among others. Duties include designing, building, and managing bulk data loading plans built in Informatica PowerCenter, writing web-based applications, developing applications using development tools, and other miscellaneous tasks. The job could potentially hold long-term potential, depending on performance and other factors.
Candidates should be highly motivated to learn new technologies and basic aspects of the nature of the datasets they will manage.
