Crime Analyst – LTE

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is objective level professional work in the development, support, and use of automated management information systems for crime analysis. This level is characterized by the independent application of professional skills in the implementation of support systems and programs required for public safety problem identification and problem solving. This position would perform a variety of tasks relating to the analysis of public safety problems and the initiatives to address them. Work may involve some team participation on specific projects, as assigned, and is performed under the general direction of a senior level manager. This position works closely with the supervisor of the Criminal Intelligence Section. This position will serve as the administrator for the Byrne Grant project. This work is performed under the general supervision of the Investigative Services Sergeant and involves considerable independent judgment and discretion.
