This position will be responsible for assisting the staff with a variety of planning and GIS projects. Typical tasks may include:
– Collecting data and preparing computerized maps, charts, graphs, and diagrams
– Entering/digitizing map-related information into computer(s)
– Developing and preparing computer documentation for custom menus and macros to implement new applications
– Generating information from compiled information for GIS application
– Aerial photography interpretation
– Field surveys
– Operating and adjusting GIS related general office equipment
– Preparing background information
– Using ARC/INFO and ArcView GIS software
