Description:
The intern will provide key technical input to the development of this project as well as other GIS related issues that may present themselves. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate clearly, enthusiasm, and ability to think toward the future and identify possible problem areas before they arise.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• A working knowledge of geography/cartography, GIS, and remote sensing fundamentals, as might be obtained in undergraduate courses;
• Working experience with GIS products, such as ESRI Arc/Info or ArcView;
• Working experience with database software, especially in Microsoft Access 97;
• Good organization skills;
• Strong communication skills;
• Self-direction;
