The position requires the management of the design, layout and production of client-server and web-based applications. The candidate must work well in a team-like atmosphere in the development of GIS and IT products for a wide variety of public-sector clients. Candidates that have MCAD and/or GISP certification are preferred.
Candidate must have a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Geography, Programming or related are along with 5-7 years of professional experience. Must have proven proficiency in the use of ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, relational databases (both SQL Server and Oracle) and related development environments (.NET, ASP, VB); exposure to requirements analysis/gathering and applying techniques to respond to documented requirements. Candidates must express a willingness to learn, the ability to work both independently and within a team to get the job done and have good verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate would have experience in applying technology to transportation and/or wastewater utility business cases. Ideal candidates will have exposure to the implementation of document management systems and maintenance management systems.
