Job Description: As part of the Corporate Development Division which includes Planning and Research, Strategic Development, Mergers and Acquisitions, and the Program Management Office, the Geographic Information Services Group works to support the strategic initiatives of the company through spatial analysis, application development, and data research.

As a GIS Analyst in the Geographic Information Services Group, individuals will be expected to think creatively, explore new technologies, collaborate with many different departments, and constantly strive to utilize GIS techniques to accomplish Walgreen growth strategies. Duties will include user training, map creation, system administration and maintenance, application design development, and performing ad-hoc research to support various areas of the company. Advancement opportunities to senior positions are available as individuals demonstrate superior GIS aptitude and project management skills.

Job Qualifications: We are seeking individuals with a talent for innovative problem solving using GIS. Successful people in our department are able to creatively find information, use GIS to answer questions, identify and analyze key issues, and persuasively present recommendations. The open position provides many opportunities to interact with various departments within the company and its subsidiaries.

  • BA/BS Required. Majors in Geography, Decision Sciences, Business, and other fields of study welcome.
