Symbiont’s industrial clients are located throughout the United States and include top-brand brewing, beverage bottling, and automotive companies. Symbiont’s municipal clients are generally located in Midwestern states such as Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin.
Our Milwaukee office is seeking a full-time GIS specialist with GIS software experience. The ideal candidates will have 1 to 2 years GIS experience, strong academic credentials, demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent personal and academic references. Candidates must be familiar with ESRI’s ArcGIS and be able to demonstrate software proficiency.
Position Requirements
- Experience creating/editing geodatabases
- Proficiency in ESRI’s ArcGIS 9.2 or greater
- Ability to demonstrate proficient map creation
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Microsoft Office products
Other Preferred Experience or skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Access, SQL, .Net
- Experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE
- Webpage design, application development
Responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to:
- Creating and editing spatial data sets,
- Following work plans and production expectations,
- Communication with team leader, and
- Meeting project deadlines.
