The City of Green Bay Economic Development Department seeks a Business Development Planning Specialist to promote continued economic growth and vitality in the City. The focus of this position will be primarily on the central business district and neighborhood commercial areas in or near downtown.
Duties include: working with new and existing businesses to encourage commercial development and expansion; developing marketing materials and strategies to aid with business recruitment and retention efforts; building relationships with business owners, developers, and non-profits to further progress in the central business district, and working with businesses and the public to prepare redevelopment plans and tax increment district plans.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Urban or Regional Planning, Finance, Marketing or other closely related field.
2. One year related experience in business, marketing or economic development desired.
3. Experience with GIS desirable.
4. Certification through National Development Council desirable.
5. Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Residency within the Green Bay Corporate city limits will be required within one year of hire.
