This individual will provide Geographic Information Systems (GIS) databasedevelopment, technical and general GIS services to County Departments. Performstechnical work to enhance the county’s efforts to modernize its land records data. Thisposition functions in a key role towards the development, implementation andmaintenance of the County’s GIS program.Qualifications necessary: Associate degree in Geography, Cartography or related field,GIS training, and at least one or two years GIS automated mapping experience or anycombination of education and experience that provides the equivalent knowledge, skillsand experience. Ability to read legal descriptions. Knowledge of GIS methods andprocedures for input, processing output and development of applications. Knowledge ofcoordinate systems and standard mapping principles. Knowledge of surveying principlesand practices. Intermediate level to use County GIS Software including AutoCad andESRI products and knowledge of SQL operating platform.
