The Center for Limnology at the University of Wisconsin Madison seeks a post-doctoral research associate in the area of aquatic invasion biology. Research will be conducted in the laboratory of Professor Jake Vander Zanden. The focus is modeling the spread of aquatic invasive species on landscapes and identifying ecosystems that are vulnerable to invasion.Responsibilities include maintaining and analyzing aquatic invasive species data sets, publication in the peer-reviewed literature, participating in field sampling and outreach activities, and working with the WI Department of Natural Resources and other stakeholders in forwarding proactive invasive species management. Qualifications: Ph.D. in conservation biology, ecology, biostatistics, geography, aquatic sciences, or related fields. Experience in statistical modeling, GIS, and data management are desired.
