The City of La Crosse is seeking a highly qualified entry level candidate to provide professional planning support to various City Committees and to assist management with initiating planning studies and reports, neighborhood and community development activities and ordinance writing. The work is performed under the direction of the Director of Planning and Development.
The selected candidate shall have a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, Public Administration or related field, with one year of internship/experience with exposure to planning principles, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) certificate helpful; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong computer skills in Microsoft office are essential.
