State College Remote, PA, US.

Job Description:
This position’s purpose is to lead and support business development and contract acquisition activities with a focus on all primary market segments within the Telecommunications and Technology Division in a specified geographic region.

Duties:
* Perform a variety of business development functions within the division/regional office
* Execute sales for appropriate discipline
* Execute business development processes for civil and environmental services to include contract acquisition activities
* Maintain current status of sales opportunities
* Meet and achieve sales goal
* Develop qualified project leads through personal contact, conferences, and market analysis
* Develop new sales leads and leverage network for new clients
* Assist the division in exceeding annual sales goal
* Attend, participate in, and lead as required division sales meetings and activities
* Develop, lead, and/or participate in sales presentations
* Prepare and provide quality assurance and/or quality control for major proposals
* Coordinate and/or prepare presentations and/or proposals
* Direct contribution to achieve the division’s sales goal
* Report daily to the Vice President of Business Development
* Attend and participate in corporate and division sales and planning meetings
* Represent Kimball at selected conferences (presentation, exhibiting, and attending)

Required Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree required
– Minimum five (5) years additional experience required in lieu of college degree
– Minimum five (5) years experience in Public Safety and 9-1-1 telecommunications and technologies

Required Experience:
– Demonstrated experience with public safety technical, operational, funding and governance issues
– Experience in one or more of the following: Public Safety Systems, Next Generation 9-1-1 Services, Radio Frequency/Wireless Services, 9-1-1 Consulting, GIS/Data Services
– Must have broad network of business relationships in the public safety community including national participation in public safety associations (potential client network that contributes to the success of the market segments in the division)
– Demonstrated experience in large-sized public safety agency – Experience creating budget and program justifications and their implementations
– Experience giving presentations to various executive levels, city, county and other legislative bodies
– Experience as a senior level manager
