Janesville Intern Project Description:
The Janesville Area Metropolitan Organization seeks an intern to direct a survey of trail users within the city of Janesville. Project is expected to fill 160 hours, beginning May 2010. Intern will be required to work in office and conduct field work on trails. Hours are flexible and part time with some weekend and evening hours required. Intern will require the use of a personal vehicle.
Candidates with knowledge and experience with GIS techniques and procedures (ArcGIS 9) may be assigned additional tasks, but internship will not exceed 250 hours total.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of statistical methods to extrapolate survey data into meaningful trail usage data
Position pays $10 per hour plus mileage reimbursement for work related travel.
