Job Duties:
Rock County has recently switched to ArcGIS Server in a SQL environment. The primary task for the intern will be to assist in the creation of maps for publication on the Internet and to document workflow to create an efficient means of re-creating and updating the maps. The intern will also be responsible for several smaller projects that may include refining the area hydrology dataset.
Desired Skills:
Candidates should be a graduate or undergraduate student or recent graduate who is self motivated with a background in Geographic Information Systems, Web GIS, land use planning, regional planning, landscape architecture, geography or public policy. Experience using ArcMap and ArcGIS Server is required. Experience with JavaScript, Silverlight and Python preferred. Candidate should be proficient in using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The applicant should have the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision after training.
