The Sheboygan Water Utility has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Engineer Technician to assist the Utility Engineer in providing services to the Sheboygan Water Utility.?
The successful candidate will be required to gather information for engineering purposes, update engineering records, draft water main plan and profile drawings, perform CAD/?GIS map work, inspect water main construction, maintain engineering computer and plotting equipment, assist in establishing line and grade using manual and electronic survey equipment, and assist in performing fire flow and pressure tests.?
The successful candidate will be required to operate CAD/?GIS software, total station survey equipment, and various other computer equipment.? On occasion, after hours work for emergencies or construction will be required.?
Qualified candidates must possess five years significant experience with AutoCad or GIS software or an Associate Degree with AutoCad and/?or GIS specialty.? A minimum of two year’s experience working with Sokkia total survey station or equivalent electronic survey equipment, along with a valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required.? Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access and Excel is desired.?
The Utility offers an hourly rate of $20.?35 per hour and fringe benefits including the Wisconsin Retirement system, health and dental insurance, life insurance, and Wisconsin Deferred Compensation.?
