POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Outagamie County Planning Department is seeking a Limited Term Employee to assist with GIS data development, culvert inventory, cartography, ongoing maintenance of the GIS and other Land Information related tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Edit spatial data as necessary using Esri software.
*Extract planimetric features.
*Assist with culvert inventory.
*Quality control of GIS data.
*Prepare cartographic products for various County Departments.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
*Candidate should be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Engineering or similar degree.
*Qualified candidates will be fluent with Esri software.
*Knowledge of GPS technology, post processing and mobile mapping.
*Attention to detail and accuracy when editing GIS data.
*Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.
*Possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
*Good analytical and problem solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and maintain regular attendance.
*Must possess a valid State of Wisconsin driver’s license.
FRINGE BENEFITS:
This is a non-benefit eligible position.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS:
County residency is not required as a condition of employment.
